Do not take Nurtec ODT if you are allergic to Nurtec ODT (rimegepant) or any of its ingredients.
Nurtec ODT may cause serious side effects including allergic reactions. Allergic reactions, including trouble breathing and rash, can happen after you take Nurtec ODT. This can happen days after you take Nurtec ODT. Call your healthcare provider or get emergency help right away if you have any of the following symptoms, which may be part of an allergic reaction:
- Swelling of the face, mouth, tongue, or throat
- Trouble breathing
SIDE EFFECTS
Acute treatment of migraine. In a study of 682 patients the most common side effect was:
- Nausea (2% of people who took Nurtec ODT vs. 0.4% of people who took placebo)
Preventive treatment of episodic migraine. In a study of 370 patients the most common side effects were:
- Nausea (2.7% of patients who received Nurtec ODT vs. 0.8% of patients who received placebo)
- Indigestion/stomach pain (2.4% of patients who received Nurtec ODT vs. 0.8% of patients who received placebo)
